Report Formats and Deliverables

Dual-Format Intelligence Reports

Each WebGlyphs intelligence report is delivered in two parallel versions: PDF and HTML. The textual content is identical across both formats—every analytical statement, strategic observation, and management disclosure appears in the same sequence with the same wording. The choice of format depends on your intended use.

PDF Version: Distribution and Documentation

The PDF format serves traditional document workflows:

Limitation: Following audit trail references in PDF requires manual navigation. Clicking a reference marker like [1] jumps to the audit table entry, but then clicking the "More..." link to see the filing in context requires copy-pasting URLs into a browser. For systematic verification of dozens of claims, this becomes cumbersome.

HTML Version: Interactive Verification Workflow

The HTML format transforms audit trail navigation from tedious to instantaneous:

Use case: When you need to systematically verify AI-generated claims before relying on them for investment decisions, the HTML format reduces verification time from 15 minutes per claim (searching through filings manually) to 15 seconds (two clicks to see verbatim source text and filing context).

Intelligence Briefs: Single-Company Strategic Analysis

Intelligence briefs synthesize 5 years of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) for a single corporation, extracting:

Each intelligence brief includes:

  1. Main strategic report (PDF and HTML) - Narrative synthesis organized by theme: competitive landscape, strategic initiatives, operational challenges, market positioning, etc.

  2. Audit trail appendix (HTML) - Comprehensive evidence table with:

    • Numbered reference markers corresponding to claims in main report
    • Filing attribution (10-K 2024, 10-Q Q2 2023, etc.)
    • Verbatim excerpts from SEC documents (unparaphrased text as filed)
    • Hexadecimal identifiers for precise source tracking
    • "More..." links configured to surface the passage in its original filing context via Google search

The HTML audit trail is optimized for systematic verification: If you're conducting due diligence and need to validate that management actually disclosed "supply chain diversification to Southeast Asia" in their 2023 10-K, you click the reference marker in the main report, see the verbatim text instantly, then click "More..." to read the full MD&A section discussing the strategic rationale. Total time: under 20 seconds.

This workflow is impractical in PDF format, where each verification step requires manual URL handling and context switching between applications.

Comparison Briefs: Side-by-Side Competitive Intelligence

Comparison briefs analyze two corporations simultaneously, revealing strategic positioning differences, competitive dynamics, and relative disclosure patterns. These reports synthesize filings from both companies across the same 5-year period, enabling:

Like intelligence briefs, comparison briefs are delivered in HTML and PDF formats and they have a dual, integrated audit trail.

For advanced use, audit trails are also available in chronological order in JSON format: see JSON example and use cases

Data Integrity Across Formats

Regardless of format, all WebGlyphs outputs maintain identical evidentiary standards. The choice of format affects navigation convenience and integration workflows, not the underlying quality or completeness of source attribution.
